There’s no better way to discover and learn about conservation lands in Orleans than by joining one of OCT’s guided walks. All are free and open to the public.
Every month of the year, Trust staff—often joined by a local expert—lead a guided walk on OCT and Town-owned conservation properties. Routes vary in length and terrain, so there’s something for everyone. Along the way, leaders share information about historical land use, botany and ecological communities, land management efforts, and much more. And you never know when we might have a birding op or other wildlife sighting!
Below you’ll find our schedule of upcoming walks—mark your calendars!—and brief reports about recent outings. Dress for the season and conditions; sometimes the announcement includes tips on appropriate gear. We request that folks not bring their four-legged pals on group walks.
But don’t limit your use of our trails to these guided walks! A quiet walk in the woods or along a shoreline is sure to leave you refreshed and rejuvenated. And you’ll have an even better chance of spotting wildlife outside a group.
