A talk by Benjamin Neal, Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies, Colby College. Coral reefs have been called the “rainforests of the sea,” alluding to their status as one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on earth. But coral reefs worldwide are imperiled by stressors occurring on a global scale. Ben will discuss these threats and what the future of these shallow-water tropical ecosystems looks like.
